Our Identity

Tap Rock Resources, LLC is an NGP portfolio company based in Golden, Colorado. The Company has extensive experience in modern resource play development and is currently focused on acquiring and developing assets within the greater Permian Basin.

Our History

Tap Rock was founded in 2016 with an initial capital investment from NGP to pursue Delaware basin leasehold acquisition. From 2017 to 2022, we grew our acreage position in the Delaware Basin to over 35,000 net acres; our production to over 100,000 boepd and operated a seven rig drilling program. In 2023, we successfully divested most of Tap Rock I and Tap Rock II to Civitas Resources. Through a subsequent investment by NGP, Tap Rock III began acquiring acreage in 2023 and looks to repeat prior success by building and developing a premier position in the Delaware Basin.
