Justin Britsch is Vice President of Production and Facilities at Tap Rock Resources, LLC. Justin joined Tap Rock in September 2021 as Production Manager and was subsequently promoted into his current role in March of 2024 after a successful divestiture of assets to Civitas Resources. Prior to Tap Rock, Justin served as a Midland Basin Reservoir Engineer for QEP Resources, and previously led BPX Energy’s Eagle Ford business unit as Vice President of Development after acquiring assets from BHP, ramping from zero to nine rigs and adding >80 mboe/d of production in a single year. Prior to BPX Energy, Justin held engineering and leadership roles in drilling, completions, reservoir, and asset management for Newfield Exploration covering the Arkoma Basin, SCOOP, Granite Wash, Uinta Basin, and Williston Basin. He began his career with engineering roles in production, facilities, and subsea systems for BP and ExxonMobil, primarily working offshore projects in the Gulf of Mexico, Nigeria, and Angola. Justin graduated with honors from Texas A&M University in 2002, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and subsequently earned a Master of Finance degree from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2016. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
